We finally sold Jodi’s Blazer today. We have had it up for sale for a couple weeks now, had ads on KSL Cars, Google Base, and craigslist. I don’t think anyone called based on those ads, it would be interesting to know how many people saw them though. As far as I know everyone called because they saw the car parked on the side of the street by our house. We’re glad to have it sold, didn’t make quite as much as we would have liked from it, but still did comparitevly well from other prices we’ve seen for comparable vehicles.

Jodi and I bought a new vehicle last week. We purchased a 2004 Toyota 4Runner. We considered leasing, but decided we wanted to purchase something and build up some ownership in it. We decided we were tired of our Blazer, it is older, has a few miles on it and we got tired of putting money in to it. Last week on Monday we found the 4Runner that we purchased on KSL Cars and called the owner and went to test drive the car. We decided to purchase it that evening and paid for it on Tuesday. On Thursday I got it all registered at the DMV. I had a little drama while getting that done, the girl at America First Credit Union stamped the wrong area so I had to take the title back to America First and have them fix it so that the DMV could take care of their part. Everything worked out, but was a little frustrating. It is a 2004, 56,000 miles, SR5, V6. It has climate control system, towing package, 4 wheel drive and pretty new tires. We really like it so far, it drives very smooth and quiet, much better than the Blazer did.
Since KSL Cars worked out for us to find a car, we decided to list the Blazer on there to see how it goes. It has been almost a day since I put it on there and I haven’t had any response to it yet, but hopefully someone will see it and want it soon.

Jodi and I did the triathlon in Echo on Saturday. Jodi’s cousin, J, also was on our team. Jodi swam, I biked and J ran. I think we did alright, not as well as we did in St. George though. This time we finished in 8th place of the mixed relays. We spent the weekend up in Park City with some of Jodi’s family, we had a good time, it was pretty warm up there though!

We had a good 4th of July this year. We started the day off with the Centerville Parade, always a good event. Jodi’s family always gets a spot near the Spangenberg’s house by main street. After the parade we went to the Centerville Celebration at a park. We tried to eat some lunch there, but the food was not very good so we went to Bajio’s after a couple hours to eat. After lunch we hung out for a bit and then went to see Transformers at the Gateway Megaplex. That movie was excellent! We went and saw it again yesterday with a friend of mine from work! We went to the fireworks in Kaysville on the fourth with Jodi’s family. They were good, better than Park City’s this year.

Last night Jodi and I went to Park City for the fireworks at The Canyons Resort. They have been our favorite fireworks the past couple of years, but they weren’t as good as we remembered last night. They were still good, but not as many, as long, or as unique as they have been in the past. We went with our friends, Jason, and Jodi and Matt. Jason took a video of the finale which is below.
