Our friend Jenny took pictures of Owen again today. She took some pictures of him when he was just a couple of weeks old and did a great job. Owen was a good sport again today, but was a lot more active than the last time he had pictures taken! So far we have only seen the picture below, can’t wait to see the others!
Archive for February, 2010We never thought we would see this day, but it happened. We sold our house! For those of you that weren’t aware of our situation we bought a townhouse 3 years ago. The home owners association was in the middle of a lawsuit with the builder. When we bought we were told that the lawsuit would be over in the fall of that same year. So we bought our house and moved in. Flash forward 3 years later and the lawsuit is finally over. It ended in mediation just after Thanksgiving. So we got our house in order and put it on the market right after Christmas. We knew it was a long shot to sell our house for a reasonable amount of money because of the down market and the lack of sales in the community due to the lawsuit. Our realtor warned us that even if we got a good offer the deal would likely fall apart because of the appraisal. So we listed our house and started praying. We prayed that if we were meant to move on that we would get an offer on our house that would allow us to sell. We got a lot of showings and lots of positive feedback but in the back of our minds we kept thinking we would be stuck there for at least another year. And then it happened. We got an offer and it was too good to be true. So here we are less than 2 weeks since we got the offer. Moved out of our house, most of our stuff stored in a storage unit and living in a friends basement (thanks Jerusha) until we find a new house. There have been many tears shed over the last 2 weeks. Facing the unknown and leaving friends behind has been very hard. But in spit of all the sadness and tears we know that Heavenly Father is looking out for us. We never thought that the answer to our prayers would bring on such sadness, but we have faith and trust in the Lord that we are supposed to move on. Owen is getting very close to crawling, he still rolls around a bit while doing it but he’s getting better!
